It has been a few months...(I dare not truly count how many it's been) but I am here. I am not abroad, and in fact, last week, made the monumental decision to stay in the Bay Area rather than go to Oregon.
I was supposed to do a year of service, but decided that I wanted to focus on my career goals, and am now applying to jobs non-stop.
At any rate, I'd like to point out that I re-read some of my entries from Egypt and Jordan and I relived my time there! Sadly, I had forgotten some of the things I had done, some of the wonderful places I had visited and it was amazing to read how I felt at the time I was writing them (i.e. how I felt about eating liver and being near the majesty of the pyramids.)
I did use the experience with the Palestinian Refugees as a talking point in one of my applications and I was reminded of how heart wrenching it was to be there and why its so important for me to focus on my path so that I can one day help!
Anyway, those are all my musings for now. I may have to change the name of this blog since it seems that I will stay in the Bay indefinitely (until I go to school again in a year, that is).
Small steps my friends, small steps.
