Potter Post

Dorkdom Reigns Supreme Today!!

No denying it! There will be a myriad muggles traipsing the streets in growing anticipation of
HARRY POTTER AND THE DEATHLY HALLOWS PART 1

In preparation yesterday, I watched HP and the Half Blood Prince.  Since I found out the Kurt's love interest in Glee is named Darren Criss, I have been obsessed with him and have watched his music videos on YouTube.  He sings disney songs, and had an album out of wonderful songs (Check out Human by Darren Criss) but most importantly, he played HARRY POTTER in  A Very Potter Musical!! and A Very Potter Sequel. Sunday-Tuesday I was watching the videos on YouTube, and granted they are three hours long, but they are SO friggin funny! I was laughing so much, and the singing was awesome!!!!!! Please click on the purple link above.  You will fall in love.

Also, I am so excited because WARNING. THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION CAN BE USED AGAINST GGREYES.  ANY ATTEMPTS TO DO SO HOWEVER WILL RESULT IN LOSS OF LIMBS. OR WORSE....? WHO KNOWS. I will be able to write to Harry in my journal about how freakin awesome his movie will be! It'll be so exciting! I have written to HP for a few years now in my journal, sure, when I was younger, I took this fictional character and anthropomorphized him. He, in his little cupboard under the stairs and through the years has read my letters to him (that would be my journal entries) and consequently knows more about me than anyone else does.  THAT'S why I think I qualify as a major fan. I mean sure, people like THIS GUY have spent material wealth on HP paraphernalia and sure, he got a tattoo of Rowling's signature, and sure, he used three rooms of his house for Harry Potter stuff....on second thought...he wins. I'm not that big of a dorkus malorkus.  I've only written to HP for about 8 years now... so I will let him take the cake.  Anywho... I <3 HP. (For computer illiterates (cough cough mother!) the <3 is a sideways heart!)

Me, yesterday.  I'm Harryet Potter. tee hee hee.
If you think about it, today is an epic day.  Hermione (Emma Watson) tried out for the part when she was 9 and didn't start filming till she was 11.  Thats a crazy long time to be with the movies and we are the generation that has grown up with the movies and books.  Granted, I did not like HP until I was in 5th grade, when #4 came out,  (Because I did not like to read about characters my own age, I was just not into reading how a character my age got over his struggles...the stuff I read about was on teenagers 16-18 who were kicking butt and saving the world and falling in love...dang...I've been a hopeless romantic for years...) and after reading The Goblet of Fire, I didn't understand all of it, but the magical wizarding world was crazy awesome.  The family went to Mexico for the first time that summer and threw up 13 times, but read HP on the plane there (or tried, I didn't get very far.  That plane ride over is the sole reason I LOVE honey mustard.  I was introduced to it on the hamburger they served us. The sibs like honey mustard too because of the plane ride, we still talk about it.) and then I read 1, 2 and 3 because my mother took me and Rosita to Costco to buy the rest of em so that we could take em to Mexico.  I remember reading in number 4 (My favorite book, sadly the movie is terrible) about Harry having to catch the snitch and thinking.... wait, how is Harry going to catch a person? haha...anyway. I've been hooked ever since, went to the midnight premiers of the movies, and for the remaining books, and as of today, I am going to dress up like a Hogwarts student and wear my potter glasses. Like I did yesterday.  I wore them the entire time I played pool too, I felt so cool! Hahaha.

Okay well...class is in an hour...and I didn't see the reading we had to do...so I will do it now.

BUT! I have not forgotten that I promised to write about Egypt! Its just that Harry Potter takes precedence. Marc and Bobak found that out. A
nd frankly, HP deserves his own post. Hahahaa I just changed the title of the post from 'HARRY POTTER! HARRY POTTER! HARRY POTTER...THAT'S ME!" (from HP puppet pals if you don't know to what I am referring) to its current one. I am so clever.  Anyway... I found this pic and thought it was so cool. If only Legolas were in on it too, then I could have some of my favorite fantasy characters reading HP. Tee heheheeee.

Okay y'all. That's it. I'll post pics of my dorkyness before, during and after the movie tonight at four when I return!

Peace.

P.s. I don't have class tomorrow, THANKS DR. T!!!!! (he's watching it too)
