Break Me Out

Hello!
It's been a fascinating two days!  At my internship, I was fed chocolate cake. That was pretty awesome, not gonna lie! Best part was it was german chocolate cake...yummm. Then I had a few scoops of rocky road ice cream after my dinner. so good to be alive.

I am only too happy to go to bed, I am pretty pooped from doing a fifteen minute dance session with Lily and Amalee! That was really fun and it was completely free of charge! I need to start taking advantage of the free stuff in DC, I was wandering around Metro Center station yesterday until about 8 pm and I was right in front of the American Museum of Art.  I should have gone in, but I was on the phone with my life coach (my mother) and I was giving her a list of essentials to surviving in DC (a peacoat, gloves, boots, ect) that she needed to mail to me. It was really cool though, and since I am absolutely in love with the weather right now, I am only toooo happy to go the rest of the museums that I have not gone to in four years.

Oh, speaking of things in the past, I will have the opportunity to visit with my former civics teacher when she brings her team, We The People, to DC in two weeks! I was in We The People, a competitive civics team and that class has fostered a love for all things to do with the constitution and the rights of the people.  I am so excited to see her! I hope to impact the lives of students when I am a teacher one day, which is why I volunteer with the Role Model Program. Which you all should do! It's so rewarding and you encourage students to get a higher education!

Anyway, I have to say that I was reading my last post and there were so many misspellings! Contrary to what people may think, I actually do know how to spell.  I was at my internship writing the post and I lack the energy at this very moment to go back and do a spell check.  I was in fact a copy editor for my schools newspaper last year.

Okay so I missed Glee and I am very very upset. I only watched about 15 minutes of it!! Now I have to wait until tomorrow to finish watching it! Oh well, but Amalee, just a warning, I will be watching Glee...

oh, and my quest for a journal continues. My trip yesterday only yielded a delicious meal from Five Guys, and while I am not complaining, I wanted a journal.  Maybe I will get one from Egypt and/or Jordan? Who knows?

Oh yay! I just found out I am going to a thrift store tomorrow!! Hooray! Okay sleep time.

GUEST POST:
AmaLeiLei the Squirrel
There was once a squirrel named Larry who ate honey bunches of oats every day until his mother said "Larry you are going to turn into a baby oat". But larry loved his HBOO (Honey Bunches of Oats) so he ate them, hid them in his closet, and continued on with his love and obsession with HBOO. The whole squirrel village had their village meeting and said "Larry is just becoming an HBOO addict, we must stop this". But he would never stop, for his heart belongs to HBOO. Le fin. (This story is loosely based on Amalee's life)
