Enjoying the Simple Moments

I realize that there is a beauty in enjoying the simple moments in life.  My life is not so busy that I am unable to once in a while unwind and just BE, but much too often, I find that it is easier to fill those days with frivolous pursuits.

Today, I went to church, then ate, then started working and I have been working/studying since about 2 pm today, but I was so relaxed and took my time and was with Amalee and Marc and Maria and it made all the difference.   I was able to cross my work assignments from my to-do list and had fun at the same time, laughing and sharing special moments with those who mean the most!  Laughter really is a vacation, and I was on vacation all day. I like being able to do my work and also have fun and so I must remind myself that starting work early really is worth it since I can get work done, enjoy my time and have fun with friends at the same time.

One thing I did for a good chunk of my day was watch old Barbie commercials! haha, the number of flashbacks I had today was unparalleled!  I miss being a youngin and playing with Sammy, Rosita and Lolita.  I also lamented that Barbie has had a boyfriend since 1961. haha. check it out, i want to be able to meet a guy and just know that things will work out!

  1. This is an anonymous comment, by an anonymous reader who has absolutely no affiliation with the author. I only wish to remark that you have absolutely remarkable blogging skills and i wish to submit your blog into the annual "Awesome Blogs of American" (ABOA) banquet. I also wish to meet this wonderful person named Amalee that you speak of often, she seems to be a real gem.
