Dreaming Out Loud

Am I aloud to call my blog titles the titles of songs? Is that legal? If I get in trouble, let it be known that I HONESTLY don't know. But I have freedom of speech...dangitt intellectual property law, you ruin everything!  Oh kay. On to my life.

Wednesday, I honestly don't know what I did except...OH! Yeah, I went thrift store shopping and that was really fun.  The first place was called Mustard Seed and it was nice, and then the other place I went to was called Reddz Trading and that was cooool! It was really awesome and I bought a J.Crew white button up shirt and another blue one, BUT i was about to buy a 100% Cashmere yellow shirt except couldnt because I really have to start thinking about what I am going to buy for Egypt and Jordan! eeeeek!

I have T-Minus 14 days until the day of departure! OCTOBER 24...ahhhh....!

So that was on Wednesday and then I studied for three hours.  Then on thursday, the class visited the Saudi Embassy and that was uhm, interesting. Anyway, after that, I went to work for a bit and then studied and then, because Lily had pointed out that the ends of my hair were dead, I was itching to go get a trim, and I wouldn't be happy until I got my hair trimmed.  So I went to hair Cuttery and got a trim and got my bangs cut.  I must say I am very happy with my bangs!! And! I was sorely tempted to donate it right then and there, but my mother convinced me to donate when I get home. So I will donate it in December, the second day I return to Fremont. You watch.  I will post a picture!

And then I went shopping for two hours. (You wouldn't think I had a midterm the next day)  I went to H&M and bought a jacket and two very cute french looking beanie/hat things.  Blue and black hooray!  Then I went to Forever 21 (they are right next to each other, how can you not go?) and bought a little white number, so Lolita I will no longer need to borrow your beige cardigan.  And then I inhaled my 6' sub and went back to studying until 1130 ish. I watched the Giants game and that was very gooood!

I called Ehatch and received the best news I have had since before last Friday: She is coming to visit! (or will most likely get accepted to come on a Social Justice mission in DC!) I am so excited! My very bestest friend would come the day after I return from my trip and I could not imagine a better way to spend the weekend! I miss home! I get bouts of home sickness and seeing her would make me so happy!

Haha, theres nothing like eating cold leftover pizza. Yummm.

Then on Friday I get up at 8 am take a shower, and study till 915 ish when I leave my room to go to my class, and the classroom is dark. Its 920 and my heart starts beating more quickly. Where is my class?! I was going to miss the test! Then I rush to Dunblane where we sometimes have class... its 925 and the test starts at 930. I freak out when I don't see any of my classmates and then since I have my laptop, I open it with my heart in my throat.  The internet is so slow but I finally open the page with the test information.  The test is at 1030.

I laugh at myself as I walk back to the first place I went to study a bit more and then my professor and two classmates come and professor asks if we want to start the test early. I say what the heck and at 937 start the test and leave at 1050ish, a bit confident.  I hope I did well, I was able to answer all the questions and I guess this is how you feel when you actually start studying early. I think I need to do that when I go back to school...(chort...I just remembered that I have to take another math class).

Then I take a nap, get a door thrown into my face and eat with a friend.  Go to work for a bit and then go shopping again.  I got two more shirts from Forever for my trip!  Then I watch Life As We Know It with Lily.  It was really really cute. I looooove Josh Lucas. I need to watch Sweet Home Alabama. Because of that movie, I had a dream my mother was pregnant and number 7 was on the way and it was a little girl.  I remember before Luis was born that I would watch TV commercials with baby girls in them and I would cry hoping that I would have a baby sister to watch over and care for.  But we were blessed with Luis and I wouldnt trade him for a million girls. And it was fun to pretend that Luis had long hair...hahaha. Oh I miss my family!

Okay well, after the movie yesterday I tried to go to sleep at around 11 or 12 but my roommates kept me up and then I decided to read until I got tired and read until 530 am. hahaha. Maria Snyder is a pretty good author.  I am not done with the book, but I am just over half way done. It felt good to just read, you know? I miss doing that.  No better way to spend a Friday night, I am serious.

Then I didn't wake up till about 1 when Amalee was making enough noise to wake the dead.  I read about a chapter before getting up to take a delicious shower.  I actually shaved my wooly mammoth legs! Hahha...apparently it is hot outside but I have yet to venture out. I am enjoying the solitude in my room, with the window open.  You kinda just needs these days.  Days to decompress and be lazy and be okay with that.  I am still in search for a journal and I am anxious to write in one, but I just cannot find one that speaks to me. I want to buy a really legit one in Jordan and Egypt.  I need to start my Peace Corps application.  I also need to crack down on my research paper.  hmm...get on that.  Its a three day weekend except I am not sure if I have my internship on monday or not. It would be awesome if I had monday off. Okidokie.

I need to start my day and mail a letter.

peace.
