Friday Night:
I was going to be a big pathetic loser and not do anything. Amalee was going out to celebrate Eid and Lily was going out with a few friends and I declined to attend both with a sinking feeling that I was going to have to do my homework for lack of anything more exciting to do.
Dancing to Gaga...she makes everything better!
Then we get off and don't know where the club is. We decide a few things, 1) That we REALLY need to pee and 2) that we need a cab. So we hail a cab and 7 us pile in... (much to the detriment of my bladder, Molly is splayed across my lap) and because we are frugal college students, we decide not to stop to go the bathroom and to pee at the club. But Brett swears that he has never needed to pee so badly in his life and Molly says the same thing, and my bladder is screaming at her saying "Yes, let her go so that she's not on me!!" and so we stop at a gas station with NO bathrooms.... and well use your imagination.
We are a happy bunch.
Then I make the executive decision to go to McDonald's and order 20 chicken nuggets and a Quarter Pounder, and eat in the cab ride back. That makes me happy (I share the nuggets and the burger, relax!) and by the time we get off the metro (there was an obnoxious group of 26-28 year olds on the train and they were singing "Ole! Ole, Ole, Oleeeeee!!" and so I took a picture of two of circus ring leaders) I am dancing. I dance practically all the way back to campus were I see the sprinklers on and decide to run through them with Lauren! We run, and of course I slip and I still nursing a hurting bum, but its all good. I run through a bit more and we continue the party, lose a few, but gain some more. We hang out near the stair well until an RA tells us to quiet down. So we leave and then we dance and dance and find that we all love Mika. So we put on possibly 4 of his songs before realizing its 515 am! Then we decide to go outside again. And we have fun on the grass listening to my iphone and dancing and acting the fools. I lose my ID card outside, sadly. At 6 am we decide to go to McDonalds. So we walk (me barefoot because I didnt think we were going anywhere) to McDs and order Sausage Biscuits and Hashbrowns and let me tell you, at 615 am there is nothing better than that combo. Plus the best way to beat a hangover is to just not go to sleep and eat!
Then we start getting tired, envision our respective warm beds and depart. Its 6:35 when I get to my room. I wash my face and climb into bed and with a smile on my face, I sleep.
Saturday Night:
And sleep. And sleep until about 2 pm. Amalee and I exchange stories of our night/mornings (Lily had been responsible, woke up early and had gone to a Mexican Festival) and go search for my ID card but our search is futile. Then we get back, eat cereal and decide to nap at 4. And I sleep till 6:56 pm...
Then lamenting the miserable state of my life, I take a shower, and we order pizza and eat while watching the History channel documentary on 9/11. Such a horribly depressing day 9 years ago! After the towers collapse, the streets look like hell on Earth, and I can't imagine what it felt like to live through that. Walking around the area last month helped me get a glimpse of where the damage was but I hope we see nothing like this again.
Then its 10:30 and I get another text and I decide to get ready for the heck of it. I use green eye shadow and get acquainted with a Royal and his Cup. That was entertaining! and after a few hours, we go outside again for fun but its raining. Then its around 4 and I say okay, time for me to go! I get back to my room at 4:30 after dropping one of the group in her room. Then I get ready for sleep and chat with Amalee who also returned and sleep I do.
Sunday:
I sleep till 10:10 when I get ready and attend church. That was nice. It always makes me happy. Then it rains and I nap until Lauren finds me and we chat. Fun stuff! I admire her. And now, I am updating this blog because I frankly have nothing better to do. I think I will eat Raisin Bran.
We love Mika. and McDonalds.
So, I googled Dancing in the Moonlight pics, and though this isnt what I was doing, I still think they are pretty pics! Enjoy.
PEACE.
