Theres a She Wolf

S.O.S She's in disguise. (I love Shakira!)

I'm at the library with three friends who actually need to study and I am a big nerd and decided I would tag along. Who does that? Me. I do. Instead of actual studying implementations, I brought my journal, the book I bought yesterday, and my computer. Wow....

Anyway... here is the long and short of my week.

Tuesday, I did not watch Glee. How disappointing! Instead, I went on a walk with Amalee and then had an hour and half conversation with her about life, then saw Fanny and Lauren and we had a two and half hour conversation on almost every topic concerning the world. It was fun because there was only one real conservative in the group and we had a civil conversation... well... I remember using the phrase "Don't insult my intelligence" when the topic of immigration came up.  It got quite heated and I really have to learn how to keep my cool and not take things personally.  Else, really, in all reality, when I have to get into debate with the elephants,  it would not do to jump over the podium and strangle someone. Haha, can you imagine me doing that? hahaha.

That was tuesday. And that was fun.
Then on wednesday, class was short (yay!) and I went to work, took a nap, watched Glee on my computer (and much to Amalee's detriment, I was more focused on the show than her!  I love Glee. I don't watch TV shows, but this is one heckuva show! The songs were great, and Rachel is more selfish than I recall, but that fits her. Oh! And watching the little cat fight was entertaining. Can't wait for Tuesday! I have to try and remember to schedule long winded philosophical conversations after Glee.

Thursday had class and then work (I was really tired!) and then met up with Z and hung out for a while.
Next to the Potomac
Walked around, and frequented a pub and drew in my travel book. All around a pretty great day.

Then Friday.

Haha. Friday. Went to class and that ended early, and took a nap from 2-6. I was really tired. Don't know why. And then hung out with Lauren, Jess, Eric and Molly. That was really fun! I was a wee-bit sad but friends really know how to make it all better.  I regressed a bit and knocked on someones door and then ran away (and was called out for it yesterday)! Fell asleep at 230 ish.

Saturday was a good day too, a group of us attempted to brave the weather and go to the National Book Festival near the capital, and we did!
Look at the sky!
We walked around and literally melted. I was sweating everywhere. And I was wearing a skirt! C'mon! It was apparently 96 degrees. Ugh.  That was just horrible and we got irritated so quickly! After maybe 45 minutes of walking around and feeling like we were going to die of heat exhaustion, we left. It was so hot that we didnt even get the free totes and posters that they were giving out! Eek! Then Jess and I decided to go to Borders since we were in the mood to buy books, but in less hostile conditions.  So we go to Borders, buy a book each, eat frozen yogurt (yumMMM!) order pizza and instead of taking the metro, walk back to campus! Look how green we were being! Then we watched Armageddon. I have never seen it and I cried. Not gonna lie. But I do have to say that if the world were truly going to explode because of a ginormous meteorite, I highly doubt Americans would be the only ones going to save the world. Oh America, how egocentric. And then we played a card game and called our best friends and had a jolly good time. At one point we went to CVS and bought chips and Queso dip and ate it. Alllllll!

That was fun.  Went to bed, woke up at noon and because I did not want to act like a slug anymore, showered and beautified myself enough for public display and accompanied Amalee and Lily to the Library. I got hungry and ordered a foot long from subway. However, I also requested Jalapenos and they burned away any sensation and taste that my Turkey and Black Forest Ham sandwich could have offered. Black forest ham...does that mean that the piggy that was slaughtered to feed me was from a black forest? I want to go into a black forest, ive only ever heard of green ones.

Ohkay, since I am always talking about music, I think I will just add on section on Music!

Additionally, from time to time, I am going to have a guest post! Fun, que no?!*

Guest Post: Amalee
Amalee...you've all read about her...
I am contributing to this wonderful blog, and am eternally grateful to Guadalupe "SuperFly" Gonzalez for allowing me to do this. [Especially]Considering how mean I have been to her, how many names I have called her, shoes I've thrown at her desk, slaps in her face, pinches on her arms, ice down her shirt (wait I should do that one soon), lemon juice in her eye...you get the picture. It's a love hate relationship. But if there is one thing I have to say about my relationship with Lupe its this:...I'm taller.

Picture of the Week:
Don't know why I like this picture so much! Enjoy! Its a bit dark, but at the moment, so is my soul. Hahaha.

Peace!
Look at the rays of sunlight!
