Toilets, people. Yes, toilets.

Toilet Seat Cover How I Miss Thee

Oh toilet seat cover
In DC it seems
that residents are fond
of sitting on dirty seats
instead of using
1-ply tissue seat covers.
I miss
California.
I wish that was my hand.
Today, I am wearing yellow.  Also, I finally remembered one of the things I observed my first day here in DC. Or maybe I will generalize the entire East Coast unless any East Coastian can prove me wrong and I want TANGIBLE PROOF. People here don't seem to believe in toilet seat covers.  It's really sad.  In California, there are a bajillion seat covers available to people anywhere, except in the public parking garage toilets in SF, and even then, who goes to the bathroom there except in a dire emergency?  I have not seen the glorious sight of a seat cover since leaving Fremont.  And I must say that to the mild germaphobe that I am, the idea of sharing seats with so many people is quite nasty, no offense to the lovely women on my floor.  But really, I want to buy some.  I know that 1-ply tissue paper is not going to prevent me from getting a disease, but half the battle is psychological innit?

Okay, I am done, I had the mild epiphany in class today. Anyway, yesterday was fun, I did not do much and by the time 12 came around I could barely keep my eyes open to brush my teeth.  [side note, brushing your teeth --- funny image that, I think of using a hair brush to clean my teeth--]  I went to my internship site for all of 40 minutes, and wasted a good outfit, because I do not have any shirts in the first place; then hung out with Amalee and Drew for some book shopping (Ann Aguirre's fourth novel in the Sirantha Jax series came out yesterday and I HAD to buy it; I have been waiting for it for sooo long!!) and frozen yogurt.  The days here are disgustingly hot again.  So I am sitting in my air conditioned room waiting for something exciting to happen to me.

Last night, Elinor, Bobak and I hung out before Elinor leaves the country! Scary thought that! Even scarier was the disgusting carrot cake that I had. Mom, seriously, your carrot cake is the best. I took a picture of this sad, dry excuse of a cake but its definitely not worth posting. Speaking of cake, Amalee and I shared chocolate cake today...that's third day in a row that I eat chocolate cake at some point in my day....something is wrong with me. Further more, while eating said chocolate cake today, Amalee and I were talking about going to the gym...me + talking about the gym over chocolate cake = bad idea.  But we will see if I actually go tonight...not really feeling it at this point, but who knows?

Hmmmm, I think that is all,  I want to do some quality reading right now, or maybe do some homework? But who does homework in DC? Just jokes Mom! OH! Amalee and I discovered we are in love with oldies music, she loves 60's the best (and I love 50s and 60s) and we are going to have a dance party one of these days with only our groovy music!! Yessss.

Peace.

What I'm listening to:
Baby you can drive my car...beep beep beep beep yeah!

Please watch this! I was at this rally last saturday... and saw these people... :
